The Sound Doctor holds the answers

Health educators, The Sound Doctor, give patients access to a large library of high quality short films to help them understand the nature of their long term condition from the comfort of their home. With information, advice and practical tips on lifestyle choices and more, patients will need to consult their GP and practice nurse less often. The Sound Doctor primarily allows patients to manage their conditions more effectively at home because of a greater awareness of the causes, impacts and ways to care for themselves with their long term condition. 

The Sound Doctor partners with Essex County Council and Clinical Commissioning Groups to support patients to 'Live Well'

The Sound Doctor, the social enterprise focused on effective patient education, has teamed up with the Essex County Council and Essex Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs)* to launch a new initiative - the Live Well campaign.

The patient education videos are being offered as part of a Live Well campaign to engage families and individuals - promoting health and wellbeing in the county of Essex by providing high quality information and solutions. By setting an agenda to underline the benefits of healthy living, Live Well intends to have a positive impact on both the lives of people within the county and also reduce the strain on the National Health Service (NHS).

The Sound Doctor Launches New Diabetes Library

Leading medical online learning resource, The Sound Doctor, is to add over 60 new evidence-based films, augmenting their unmatched collection. The social enterprise concerned with effective patient education, has announced the launch of a new diabetes library.  This comes as NHS England launches their Diabetes Prevention Week campaign on 16 April 2018. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) with the public and healthcare professionals, specifically GPs and Practice Nurses. The campaign will also raise awareness of the causes of Type 2 diabetes and the complications associated with it. In adding over 60 new evidence-based, diabetes-focused films to its website-based collection, The Sound Doctor will offer more culturally diverse material, top tips from patients and consultants, and new animations as it makes a significant reinforcement to its unrivalled learning base.
